Sony's 9.9mm Thin LCD TV Coming to India









Bravia ZX1 known as the KLV-40ZX550A, is 9.9mm thin ,40" LCD TV, weighing just 15.5 kg is the world’s two firsts (world’s slimmest and world’s only motion flow 200HZ)


Powered by Bravia Engine2 Enveloped by Edge LED technology,Motionflow 200Hz Image Blur reduction Vivid and vibrant tonal range and shines with the glossy black bezel and screen.TV supports a Full HD display resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels. packed with four independent HDMI inputs , the TV also supports a PC input, component inputs, USB connection, composite inputs and RBG compatible SCART input.

Audio enhancement features includes digital amplifier, S-Force Surround, voice zoom and Dolby digital plus.Two speakers and a woofer are embedded seamlessly into the screen and deliver a net output power of 20 Watts( 5 Watts for each speaker and 10 Watts for the woofer )

One of the key features of the Bravia ZX range is Wireless HD .The HD-enabled devices can be connected to the HD media receiver(which is provided) and displays input signals. This is done with the assistance of RF technology and high-speed wireless connection

Provides usual Bravia features which include 24p Cinema, Bravia Theatre Sync, Xross media bar and Live Color Creation For easy integration with compatible BRAVIA products.


Along with the Z series Sony has introduced a total of 14 LCD’s in S, V & W series. Eventhough the price and availability of the Sony Bravia ZX1 are yet to be disclosed The new range of LCDs in India is priced in the range of Rs. 16,000-2.99 lakh. will range from 20" entertainers to 50" monsters.

The company has also decided to stop availability of its cathode ray tube (CRT) televisions by December
