Garmin Edge 200 has 128x160pixel back-lit dot matrix display, USB interface for easy charging and data transfer. It packs a high-sensitivity GPS receiver with HotFix satellite prediction to calculate your position faster. In Edge 200 information is very easy to read even in ultra-bright sunlight, on the display the biggest one is the current speed and distance fields, and is able to work in all types of weather.
Just simply switch on, press start and go then it offers four lines of information: current speed, trip distance, ride time all of which are fixed and one additional field at the bottom that can toggle between average speed, total ascent, and calories burned, handy up-or-down arrow indicates whether you've moving faster or slower than your average speed.
There's no navigation function or even the ability to pull in data from power meters, heart rate monitors or cadence sensors. It will map your rides, let you download them over USB and share them via Garmin Connect. The Edge 200 comes with 130-hour memory, rechargeable lithium-ion that enables up to 14 hours of operation. It weighs only 2 ounces. The Edge 200 is available from Q3 2011 for US$149.99/£129.99.
