NVIDIA Ion 2 GPU to use Intel Pine Trail Platform Details

NVIDIA recently announced their plan to release a new graphics adapter for the latest mobile platform Pine Trail named,NVIDIA Ion 2 GPU. The new NVIDIA Ion 2 GPU will expected to be launched in Q1 2010. It is expected that NVIDIA Ion 2 chip to be integrated with the north bridge hardware platform.

NVIDIA reveals that the new NVIDIA Ion 2 GPU provides two times increase system performance by increasing the number of shader units from the current sixteen to forty.The new Ion 2 GPU also support full-screen in HD video resolution, working with Full HD-resolution images in 1080p on Blu-ray, a tolerable performance in modern games, increased battery life and compatibility with Windows 7.
