Panasonic HX-WA10 Full Review

The pistol-style camcorders from Panasonic, the Panasonic HX-WA10 is an all weather camcorder.Panasonic claim that it can be used in water to a depth of three metres for up to an hour.“Full-HD video can also be captured in all kinds of year-round outdoor conditions, not only in the rain or while swimming in a pool or the ocean, but also during marine sports such as snorkelling and surfing, and winter sports like skiing and snowboarding.”

The Panasonic HX-WA10 offers a 16-megapixel backside-illuminated sensor capable of recording 1080p moves.The backside-illuminated sensor provide improved recording in low-light situations - especially indoors.The WA10 offers a tempting selection of recording formats: 1080/60i, 1080/30p, 720/60p, 720/30p, 540/30p and 480/30p.


Movies are recording as H.264 MP4 files, with audio in two-channel AAC. This is all complemented by electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and a slightly complicated zoom. The included HD Writer VE 1.0 software enables hassle-free videao uploads to Facebook and YouTube.

The actual optical zoom is 5x, but Panasonic's Advanced Zoom can take this to 12x with no drop in image quality. There is also digital zoom facility with drop in picture quality.There is a 2.7” wide TFT LCD monitor which helps you during photo shoots and video recording.

The WA10 takes SD/SDHC/SDXC cards and offers video-out over mini-HDMI (cable not included) or with an AV cable (included). USB port is also provided to transfer files.

Panasonic recently introduced a new DV Camcorder, named Panasonic HDC-SD600.The new Panasonic HDC-SD600 camcoder features  a high-speed shooting mode,that allows capturing up to 60 photos per seconds at a resolution of 2.1-megapixel.

 The all new  Panasonic HDC-SD600 Camcorder comes packed with 3MOS system and a Leica Dicomar wide-angle lens with a 35 mm focal length.The camcoder has a 12x optical zoom and could capture photos with 14.2-megapixel.The Panasonic HDC-SD600 Camcorder enables recording in Full HD video format of 1920×1080 pixels at 50fps.

Toshiba CAMILEO S20, H30 & X100 camcoders hits US Price details

Toshiba recently introduced low-cost camcorders in US market.The camcorders includes the CAMILEO S20, H30 and X100.The all CAMILEO camcoders are capable of recording Full HD 1080p video.All the three low cost camcoders will be available for sales in US market from April 19th onwards.

The CAMILEO S20 camcoder is the most cheapest among the three priced at just  $179.99.The CAMILEO S20 camcoder features a 4x digital zoom and 5-megapixel resolution.The camcoder also has a  3-inch fold-out display and supports up to 32GB SDHC memory cards. 

The CAMILEO H30 provides a little more performance capability with 5x optical zoom and a 10-megapixel sensor.The camcoder also packs a 3-inch touchscreen and supports SDHC memory.The CAMILEO H30 camcorder will be available with a price tag of $249.99.

The CAMILEO X100 equips a 3-inch touchscreen and features 10x optical zoom and  10-megapixel sensor.The camcoder is capable of recording 1080p / 30fps and 1080i / 60fps and is provided with options for slow-motion and other recording modes.The new CAMILEO X100 has a price tag of  $349.99.

Kodak Slice touchscreen 14MP digitalcamera hits market

Kodak recently made available their latest point-and-shoot digital camera, named Kodak Slice.The new Kodak Slice was announced at the recently held CES 2010.

The all new  Kodak Slice comes equipped with a 3.5-inch 16:9 capacitive touchscreen on the back and features a 14-megapixel compact, with an internal 5x optical zoom, image stabilization.The 14MP digitalcamera can also be used for record 720p HD video at 30fps.

The new Kodak Slice touchscreen digital camera includes both face and scene detection, and an automatic “Smart Shoot” mode which will pair those features with ISO and dynamic range balance for better shots.The camera houses a “Share” button which allows you to preselect which photos you want to upload to various different social networks – including Facebook, Flickr and YouTube – and have them automatically sent when you next plug the Slice into your computer.

Kodak Slice digital camera is also provided with a microSDHC card slot, USB 2.0 slot but their is no HDMI or A/V connectivity provided with the camera.
