Asus G60J: A Notebook for Gamers

Asus G60J has a much more balanced and discrete design. Unlike other gamer friendly notebooks this is made form a combination of matt and glossy black plastic. This is used to build the sections around the display and keyboard. This laptop weights a littler heavier in the range of 3.5 kg (7.72 pounds). This notebook comes with a price tag of $2,700 and is available now at leading centers all over the world.

The G60J is powered by quad-core Core i7-820QM. Along with it the following range of accessories GeForce GTX 260M, 4 GB DDR3-1066, 2x500 GB HDD makes its name worth. The keyboard belongs to the new, “Chiclet” wave, with the keys spaced further apart than usual, giving them a “separated” look. The backlight keyboard enables the gamers to play in the dark which is preferred by most of them. The backlight level can also be adjusted. The touchpad has a large surface which helps to sense your cursor movement more sensibly.

The display measures 16-inch with a resolution (1366x768) gives a well suited display area for gamming. Visibility angles are quite solid, and color saturation on a high level. The webcam is of average quality, and the bundled software provides quite a few fun effects. The laptop is equipped with high-end specifications that will take gaming experience to higher levels.
The processor clocks at a speed of 1.6 GHz and has Turbo Boost speed of 2.80 GHz, with a read access memory of at least 2 GB (at most 4 GB) supports the processor. This gaming laptop is equipped with dedicated graphics card. The video card has 1 GB of VRAM, which promises the relentless rendering of heavy graphics. This will free them from glitches when playing hardcore and 3D games.

The SATA hard disk that spins at 7,200 per minute provides unending storage of 1 TB with the two 500GB HDD. Even though it has sufficient display it is low for a hardcore gamer's perspective. The display misses the mark of the full 1080p HD resolution. It is equipped with high-end Altec Lansing audio speakers.

The Asus G60J is loaded with a Blu-Ray-DVD combo optical drive that allows the user to burn files in DVD format and play multimedia in Blu-Ray discs. Moreover, the optical drive is very essential when installing one's preferred games.

With box dimensions of 37.5 x 26.5 x 4.1 cm, the Asus G60J is certainly a very portable gaming laptop. The Asus G60J comes with a less than stellar battery life of under two hours. The powerful specifications are really good at draining the energy from this laptop. One can enjoy game for only a short period of time before the battery drains off.
