Sony announces 3D glasses and emitter for its 3D tv



The TDG-BR100 and TDG-BR50 active shutter 3D glasses will be available to purchase in Japan in June. The glasses’ width can be adjusted for those with larger faces or if you wear glasses.

The 3D TV require D active shutter glasses which were activated by pointing at a sensor, situated above the TV. Once done, the glasses were turned on.The TDG-BR100 / TDG-BR50 3D glasses are WiFi-connected .It has face tracking capability which will dims and then turn off if you leave the room or simply looked away from the TV for an extended period. TDG-BR50 glasses comes in blue and pink.

The emitter can be added to Sony's NX900, HX700, HX800 and HX900 to make the 3D-capable TVs 3D compatible.Sony Japan stated that their line of 3D capable TV’s and accessories should be available around June in Japan, with similar launch times for other regions.

The cost of the the TDG-BR100 glass is approx. $133USD , The cost of emitter, TDG-BR50 is roughly $55USD.
